Calgary City Council meetings... word for word
At present the CIty of Calgary offers citizens the ability to watch City Council meetings & Standing Policy Committee meetings via a live web stream. Suprisingly, the live stream is not recorded.
Minutes will tell you what motions and amendments were made by your elected representatives; but, that's only part of the story. There are debates and discussions that go on during these meetings which reveal the reasons and motivations of our elected members of Council.
Council Connect provides a place to store recordings of the City of Calgary Council meetings supporting greater accessibility to not just how Aldermen voted, but why they voted a particular way.

Please Note
This is a one person project. I'll do my best to record every Calgary City Council meeting; however, there may be times when I cannot. I appreciate any help during those meetings when I am not able to record the proceedings. Also, there are many ways the videos can be enhanced to help find particular information more quickly. The focus of this project is to simply capture the videos. Videos are presently not retained in any form by the City of Calgary and so once a meeting occurs, if not recorded, there is no other record except the minutes and media coverage.
